Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform TPM on production machinery and facilities, troubleshoot basic mechanical issues, and support installation, relocation, and commissioning activities.

Record maintenance activities, assist with tooling fabrication and repair, monitor machine conditions, and work with engineers on improvement projects while maintaining safe, clean work areas and complying with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Good technical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with machinery, equipment maintenance and basic tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues from China is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Carry out preventive maintenance (TPM) activities on production machinery, equipment and supporting facilities according to the approved maintenance schedule.

Troubleshoot and rectify basic mechanical issues on production machines and equipment.

Support machine breakdown troubleshooting and perform repair work to restore equipment operation within the targeted downtime.

Support machine installation, relocation, setup, dismantling, and commissioning activities as assigned.

Record preventive maintenance, repair activities, and machine breakdown information accurately.

Assist the Technical Specialist in the fabrication, modification, assembly, and repair of production tooling, jigs, fixtures, and machine parts according to engineering drawings and production requirements.

Monitor the condition of machines, tooling and critical spare parts, and report abnormalities, wear or replacement requirements to the Engineering Department.

Coordinate with the engineers to complete maintenance activities, and engineering improvement projects according to priority and schedule.

Maintain maintenance tools, workshop equipment and work areas in a clean, organized and safe condition, always ensuring good housekeeping practices.

Support continuous improvement initiatives involving tooling enhancement, equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Ensure all maintenance activities and work practices comply with the Company's Quality Management System (ISO 9001, IATF 16949), customer-specific requirements, applicable safety regulations and engineering standards.

Support internal audits, external audits and customer audits related to tooling and maintenance activities, and implement corrective actions where required.

Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Job Requirrements:

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Candidates with relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment are encouraged to apply.
• Good technical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with machinery, equipment maintenance and basic tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues from China would be an added advantage.
