Job summary

George Kent (Malaysia) Berhad is hiring a Maintenance / Technician (Electrical & Mechanical) to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on factory equipment used in manufacturing processes. You will assemble, install, test, and maintain wiring, equipment and fixtures, and diagnose faults with test instruments to ensure safe operation.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering and 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, PLC systems and motors.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on factory equipment.

Maintenance / Technician (Electrical & Mechanical)

Perform Electrical/Mechanical maintenance works and repair all the equipment that are used for Manufacturing process in the factory.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To contribute and deliver the result of machine maintenance effectively as well as recommending improvements to minimize machine downtime.

To assemble, install, test, maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

To diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown.

Test electrical system and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.

Responsible for machine maintenance (Stamping, CNC & Basic Electro Mechanical) and fitting jobs.

To carry out periodic Maintenance of the machines as per the maintenance schedule.

To troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues promptly to minimize downtime.

To monitor and control product shielding and machine downtime to maintain productivity.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Possess a Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.

Minimum 3 - 5 years working experience in manufacturing environment.

Basic knowledge in electrical wiring, PLC system and electric motor (for Electrical Technician).

Basic knowledge in Pneumatic, Hydraulic and electric motor (for Mechanical Technician).

Experience in Tool and Die would be an added advantage.
