Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Wintec (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform daily monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance on machines, troubleshoot pumps, motors, valves and cylinders, and fix production issues to improve reliability and energy use.

Candidate will assist engineers, maintain documentation, manage spare parts inventory, and support cross‑departmental operations to ensure equipment availability and compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance on machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair of machines such as pumps, motors, control valves and cylinder.
• Proactive in issue rectification and bring forward any innovative solutions to address operation issue, reliability improvement, cost and energy improvement.
• Assist Engineer and Section Head to do trouble shooting, investigations, reporting and keep the system and/or processes full compliance to the procedures.
• Support production activities at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability targets.
• Required to do other maintenance work such as general repair and electrical works.
• Keep track of spare part and inventory usage to maintain spare part/inventory control.
• Responsible to day to day electrical/machinery maintenance and repair works.
• Ensure all documentation and data is complete, accurate and current.
• Work together with production and other departments to support Company's operations.
