Hager Group in Malaysia is seeking a Technical Support Executive based in Selangor to join the Sales and Marketing Team. The role focuses on technical support, training, business development and product development of Hager products.

You will deliver product trainings for external customers, prepare quotations and drawings, ensure Malaysian certifications, and support regional product management across Indonesia. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent, preferably electrical.
• Proven experience in technical roles, preferably in electrical industry.
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
• Able to work across diverse cultures and with virtual teams.

Job description

Hager is a leading supplier of solutions and services for electrical installations in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Hager brand, with products ranging from energy distribution through cable management and wiring accessories to building automation and security systems, represents the core business of our company. This allows us to combine all the skills necessary for the development of innovative products, systems and services required for building automation.

We are currently looking to recruit Technical Support Executive to be based out of our office in Selangor, Malaysia. This is a key role within Hager Sales and Marketing Team that focuses on the technical support, training, business development and product development of Hager products.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Pre/Post Sales

• Responsible to prepare/update training content, arrange and planning, regularly conduct product trainings for external customers including developers, consultants, architect, contractors, institutions (CSR training)
• Responsible to develops & administers training programs for employees & customers.
• Responsible to creates training content that related to customer needs and requirements.
• Responsible to provide Pre & Post sales support including product at site issue via mobile support or physical visit

Quotation/BOM/BQ Preparation/AUTOCAD/Shop Drawing

• Responsible in preparation of quotation based on the single line drawing by customers/sales
• Responsible to compile all the quotation details. (Project Title, Consultant, Contractor) and monitor the success rate by monthly follow-up with sales team
• Responsible in preparation of shop drawing based on single line diagram by customers for confirmed project

Approvals and Certifications

• Responsible for representing Hager in matters relating to Malaysian regulatory authorities and certification bodies, including SIRIM QAS International, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR), Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), BOMBA and other relevant authorities.
• Responsible for ensuring that all required Malaysian product approvals, licences, and certifications are applied for or renewed before their respective expiry dates.
• Responsible to Ensure all test report valid and reach out to Product Manager for any expiry Test Report that needed new test reports
• Responsible in Liaising with different parties for test report renewal, arrangement including joint-visit for factory audit (if applicable) until approval issuance
• Responsible for ensuring the proper use of Malaysian certification and approval markings on certified products, including SIRIM and Suruhanjaya Tenaga markings, where applicable. The relevant certification mark or label must only be applied to products covered by a valid certification scope and approval status.

RMA (Return Material Authorization) & Quality Assurance

• Responsible to check faulty item, update QIM (SAP) to meet lead time 5 working days, monitor warranty email, and faulty product pick-up & return to warehouse
• Responsible to provide faulty analysis as per request basis
• Responsible to create and update the monthly report for faulty return
• Responsible to update, report and attend the Monthly Quality Meeting

Product Management

• Support the Regional Manager, to manage Indonesia product offer including offer maintenance, Offer Gap Analysis, Product Lifecycle, offer roadmaps and KPI, propose corrective actions necessary
• Support the Regional Manager on SRMX/DDP from stage M0 until M6
• Support the Regional Manager on NPI – New Product Intro, Product Launch & Sell-gate, Forecast (PV)
• Support the Regional Manager on MCF – for current, and new product

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Engineering degree or similar/equivalent preferably in electrical engineering with experience in technical, product management
• Proven experience and track record, preferably within this electrical industry.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
• Ability to present and communicate complex technical solutions clearly at all business levels.
• Ability to work in diverse cultural and multi lingual environments.
• Proactive mindset and able to work efficiently within virtual and distributed teams.
• Willingness to travel as and when required.
