Job summary

Talent Recruit is seeking a Technical Support Engineer/Product Testing Engineer to be based in Kulai, Johor. The role focuses on troubleshooting network issues for the software development team and supporting customers with hardware/software/licensing problems.

The candidate will investigate customer problems in a lab environment, stay current on WLAN technologies, and interact with Chinese customers in English and Chinese. This on-site position is based in Kulai, Johor.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
• Bilingual English and Chinese to communicate with Chinese customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot network problems for the software development team managing released software.
• Assist customers with hardware, software, and licensing issues to resolve problems.
• Investigate and test customer problems in a lab environment with hardware and software.
• Stay updated on networking technologies and new product offerings.

Company Background

We are representing our clienta subsidiary of SGX mainboard listed company specialize in manufacturing of high performance wireless equipment. Their activities include calibration, testing, SMT and box build.

Currently they are in the lookout for a Technical Support Engineer/Product Testing Engineer to be based in Kulai, Johor.

Overall Responsibility

Responsible for troubleshooting network problems for the software development team for their released software.

Key areas of responsibility

• Works directly with customers to resolve hardware, software, licensing issues.
• Assists customers with reported product failure, taking actions to resolve issues.
• Investigates and tests customer problems in a lab environment with hardware and software.
• Stays current on networking technologies and new product offerings.

Skills and attributes

• Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering / Computer Science.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (to communicate with Chinese customers).
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of different network operating system implementations and installations

Experience requirement

• Expertise in troubleshooting networking protocols in WLAN technologies - 802.11, 802.11n, 802.11ac and 802.11ax
• Minimum 1-year working experience in product testing in the electronics industry.
• Willing to based in Kulai, Johor.
