Job summary

Elcomp Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated Technical Support Engineer intern to assist with industrial automation products and services across the Northern Region of Malaysia. You will support customers and collaborate with experienced teams.

The role involves installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software, plus hands-on training and problem solving. You will work with Omron, Moxa, Patlite, and other brands, gaining exposure to Sysmac Studio and related tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Basic networking concepts and technical inclination.
• Ability to explain complex issues clearly and communicate well.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical operation procedures and documentation.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for products.
• Provide technical training to customers.

• Classify problems on the spot and respond quickly.

Technical Support Engineer / Internship role providing technical support and solutions for industrial automation products and services. The role involves working with customers across the Northern Region of Malaysia, supporting OMRON, Patlite, Moxa, Carlo Gavazzi, and Advantech product ranges.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain technical operation procedures and documentation
• Responsible for installation, configuration, and maintenance of products hardware and software
• Provide technical training to customers
• Handle certain product range technical support
• Classify problems on the spot and provide immediate response
• Explain complex issues clearly to customers

About you

• Possess at least a Diploma or Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering (Electrical / Electronic) / Mechatronics or equivalent
• Fresh graduates / entry level students are encouraged to apply
• Basic concept of networking knowledge
• Strong interest in working with technology and programming
• Ability to explain complex issues clearly
• Articulate and clear communicator
