Job summary

Acquirax Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Penang/Ipoh to deliver on-site installation, maintenance, and repair for Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and document service reports while communicating technical findings to clients.

The role requires a Engineering degree or diploma, semiconductor experience, strong problem-solving, and travel readiness. A valid driving licence is essential for regional visits.

Qualifications

• Experience as Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) or similar technical support role.
• Strong technical knowledge to diagnose and resolve E.O.L. Semiconductor equipment issues.
• Excellent communication to explain technical information to non-technical clients.
• Organised with ability to manage multiple service calls.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (Ipoh and Penang).
• Physical capability for hands-on engineering work and lifting equipment.
• Commitment to health and safety standards and compliance regulations.
• Customer-focused with quality support mindset.
• Preferred certifications or specialised training in Semiconductor equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing per schedules and protocols.
• Document work completed, including service reports and maintenance records.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams.
• Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot critical equipment failures.
• Maintain and manage field equipment and tools in working order.
• Collaborate with the technical team to identify recurring issues and improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to clients on equipment operation and best practices.
• Travel to client sites across the region as required.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional technical support and maintenance services directly to our Semiconductor clients. Based in Penang and Ipoh, you will be the face of our company, ensuring that our equipment and systems operate at peak performance whilst building strong relationships with our customers. This position is essential to maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the continued growth of our engineering services division.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment
• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing in accordance with established schedules and protocols
• Document all work completed, including detailed service reports and maintenance records
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and troubleshoot critical equipment failures
• Maintain and manage field equipment and tools, ensuring they are in working order
• Collaborate with the technical team to identify recurring issues and implement improvements
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients on equipment operation and best practices
• Travel to various client sites across the region as required

About you

• Diploma or degree qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience working as a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) or in a similar technical field support role
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues on E.O.L. Semiconductor equipment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical clients
• Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple service calls
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (Ipoh and Penang)
• Physical capability to perform hands-on engineering work and lift equipment as required
• Commitment to health and safety standards and adherence to compliance regulations
• Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering quality support
• Preferred: Relevant technical certifications or specialised training in specific Semiconductor equipment types
