Job summary

Bricomp Technologies in Malaysia seeks a qualified CCTV technician to install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems on client sites.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software, assist with IP camera networking, and provide both remote and on-site support to customers. This position requires solid knowledge of VMS and security integrations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electronics, IT, or related field.
• Analog and IP-based CCTV systems knowledge.
• Networking concepts incl. IP addressing, subnetting, PoE, routers, switches.
• Video Management Software knowledge.
• Cabling, connectors, and power supply requirements.
• Remote viewing configurations (port forwarding, DDNS, VPN).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of access control and alarm systems.
• Prior experience in CCTV installation, maintenance, or technical support.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to CCTV systems.

Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients.

Assist with network setup for IP cameras, NVRs, and DVRs.

Ensure proper integration of CCTV systems with other security solutions.

Conduct firmware updates and software patches for security enhancements.

Guide customers through troubleshooting steps and best practices.

Assist with system design and recommend appropriate CCTV solutions.

Train clients and end-users on system operation and maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system layouts.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications - Diploma or degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field (preferred).

Understanding of analog and IP-based CCTV systems.

Understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, subnetting, PoE, routers, switches).

Understanding of video management software

Knowledge of cabling, connectors, and power supply requirements.

Familiarity with remote viewing configurations (port forwarding, DDNS, VPN).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
