Job summary

Data Flows is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to identify and engage new clients for our software solutions. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of IT systems and have a minimum of 2 years in technical sales. The role involves pitch presentations, technical support, and maintaining client relationships.

We offer a hybrid working arrangement along with commission rewards and various leave entitlements, including annual leave and maternity leave.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through research, outreach, and customer engagement.
• Actively pitch and present the company’s software solutions to prospective clients.
• Provide pre‑sales support, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and answering customer technical inquiries.
• Understand customer needs and translate them into suitable product or solution recommendations.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and technical documentation to support the sales process.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing timely technical guidance.
• Gather customer feedback and communicate it to internal teams (product, engineering, marketing).
• Keep up to date with industry trends, product updates, and competitor offering.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales or related field
• Strong understanding of software products, IT systems, or related technical fields
• Experience working with customers in a sales, pre‑sales, or technical support role
• Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, business‑focused terms
• Comfortable conducting product demonstrations and presentations
• Skilled in gathering customer requirements and proposing suitable solutions
• Familiar with the sales cycle and able to support sales teams with technical input
• Good problem‑solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities at once
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent experience
