Job summary

A leading analytical instruments provider in Johor Bahru is seeking a Technical Sales representative. The role includes maintaining customer relationships, generating new business, and providing technical demonstrations. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering, along with two years of sales experience. Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in technical sales of laboratory instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and foster customer relationships in the sales territory.
• Generate new revenue through prospecting and effective territory management.
• Prepare and present technical demonstrations and training for customers.
• Install newly delivered products and train customers on usage.
• Update and maintain progress in CRM; monitor project status.
• Host/participate in workshops, conferences and exhibitions; articulate value proposition.

Job description

• To periodically visit, maintain and to foster our relationship with existing customer within your sales territory ("the face of the company")
• To generate new revenue through prospecting, lead/funnel and effective territory management
• To prepare tender documents, to prepare quotations, to provide technical presentations, to professionally demonstrate your assigned product portfolio to potential customers, to install newly delivered products as well as to train customers on how to properly use our products
• To periodically update and to maintain any project progress and/or activities in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
• To participate / host workshops, conferences and exhibition
• The own the overall responsibility to convey our value proposition to the customer

Key Markets: Food & Beverage, Petrochemical, Chemicals, Pharmaceutical & Cosmetics, Agricultural Products (rubber), University & Academia, Testing Labs, Paint & Coating Manuf., Material Science & Nanotechnology, Minerals, Mining & Raw Materials

Key Technologies & Territories: Liquid Density & Concentration, Viscometry, Polarimeter & Refractometry, Consistency Measurement,Volatility (e.g. flash point, distillation), Oxidation Stability & Cold flow properties and ProcessIntrusmentation (PI) – Southern Region: whole Johor.

Your profile:

• Education in Chemistry, Physics or Mechanical Engineering required (BSc or MSc degree)
• At least two (2) years of experience in technical sales of analytical laboratory and/or process instrumentation
• Strong entrepreneurial mind-set, and MUST possess a can-do & win mentality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills through all media
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, can do attitude, able to work under own initiative
• Willingness to travel within the region as well as overseas (i.e. product trainings)
• Strong analytical problem solving skills
• Business level in Bahasa Melayu and English
