Job summary

OPT Machine Vision in Malaysia (Shah Alam) seeks a dynamic sales professional to lead local market development among partners, system integrators and customers. You will drive full sales cycles from prospecting to closing, coordinate with engineering for customized solutions, and help expand OPT’s market presence through campaigns and events.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics, Software, Mechanical, Automation or related fields, at least 3 years in machine vision,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics, Software, Mechanical, Automation or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in machine vision or related industries.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin with excellent communication skills and a strong customer-focused approach.
• Demonstrated development and project management capabilities; able to drive initiatives to completion.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to customize solutions for client needs.

Responsibilities

3. Customer Relationship Management

• Own customer relationship management while actively monitoring competitors’ strategies, pricing, and market movements.
• Deliver end-to-end pre-sales and post-sales support to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.

4. Strategy, Compliance & Reporting

• Report directly to the Sales Director.
• Contribute insight to products positioning, pricing strategies and marketing campaigns.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required sales reports in line with company standards and policies.

What You'll Bring:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical & Electronics, Software, Mechanical, Automation or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in machine vision or related industries will be an added advantage.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) with excellent communication skills and a strong customer-focused approach.
• Demonstrated development and project management capabilities, able to perform effectively under pressure and consistently drive initiatives to completion.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and approachable attitude, demonstrating politeness, patience, and strong collaboration in all user interactions.
• Assess customer requirements and deliver customized industrial computer and automation solutions.
• Passion for innovation and customer success.
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend industrial computers and automation solutions tailored to their needs.
• Conduct product demonstrations, deliver technical presentations, and lead proof-of-concept trials.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to customize solutions for client needs.
