Job summary

Sulzer in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, seeks a Technical Sales specialist to prepare technical proposals and tenders, interfacing with front‑sales and coordinating projects with head office and regional offices. You will present Sulzer portfolio to customers and provide technical support to Sales.

The role requires a Chemical Engineering degree and 1–3 years in technical sales within oil, gas or related sectors, with strong English and APAC travel willingness.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in technical sales or back office sales within oil & gas, chemical process, petrochemical, fine chemical or oleochemical industries.
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Willingness to travel, particularly in the APAC region.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial proposal activities with regional offices and local headquarters.
• Prepare price calculation and tender documentation.
• Work with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to prepare tender estimates.
• Ensure specifications offered match company capability and capacity.
• Convey customer requirements clearly in proposals.
• Support sales with meetings, presentations and technical discussions.
• Represent MTCS and APAC interests in contracts and projects.
