Job summary

Sulzer Pumps Wastewater Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a proactive Technical Sales Back Office professional to coordinate tender activities with regional offices and local HQ.

You will prepare price calculations, tender documents and work with process design, project management and suppliers to finalize cost estimates. The role requires a chemical engineering degree, 1–3 years in technical sales, fluency in English (Mandarin preferred) and willingness to travel in the APAC region.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in technical sales or back-office sales within oil & gas / chemical process / petrochemical / fine chemical / oleochemical industries.
• Experience in plant operation and DCS control practices will be advantageous.
• Excellent in both oral & written English; Mandarin language skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

Main tasks and responsibilities

Education requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field

Job experience

• 1 - 3 years’ experience in technical sales or back office sales within the oil & gas / chemical process / petrochemical / fine chemical / oleochemical industries.
• Candidates with experience in plant operation and DCS control practices will be advantageous.

Knowledge requirements (professional, technical, language and other requirements)

• Excellent in both oral & written English. Competency in Mandarin Chinese language skills are preferred.
• Fair knowledge of chemical separation processes knowledge
• Require business travel, particularly in the APAC region.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software such as Word / Excel / PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in use of simulation software such as PRO/II or ASPEN will be advantageous.
