Job summary

Sulzer in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to support sales teams with technical guidance and accurate product configurations and proposals. You will work with regional offices and HQ to prepare tender documentation and cost estimates while ensuring requirements align with company capabilities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and travel as needed across APAC.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
1–3 years in technical sales or back-office sales in oil & gas / chemical process / petrochemical / fine chemical / oleochemical industries
Willingness to travel frequently, APAC region
Excellent in English (oral & written); Mandarin preferred
Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of PRO/II or ASPEN advantageous

Responsibilities

Prepare and co-ordinate technical and commercial proposal activities with Regional Offices and Local Headquarters
Prepare price calculation and tender documentation
Work closely with cross-functional departments and suppliers to prepare cost estimates for tenders
Ensure specifications offered to customer align with company capabilities
Convey customer requirements effectively in proposals
Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Travel as required across APAC
