Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad in Kulim, Kedah, seeks an Electrical Engineer to manage and coordinate all electrical works for semiconductor manufacturing facilities and mission-critical projects on site.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with design requirements, safety standards, and construction schedules, while driving issue resolution and testing leading to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in electrical construction works for semiconductor facilities or mission-critical facilities.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, testing and commissioning.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to coordinate effectively with site teams, external consultants, subcontractors and clients to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all electrical works for semiconductor manufacturing facilities and mission-critical projects at Kulim Hi-Tech Park.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities to ensure electrical works comply with project specifications, design requirements, and applicable standards.
• Drive coordination among project stakeholders to resolve technical issues, mitigate construction risks, and ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor site progress, workmanship, and installation quality to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and construction schedules.
• Coordinate the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, backup power supply, emergency power systems, and other critical electrical infrastructure.
• Support authority submissions, technical inspections, testing, and commissioning activities as required.
• Attend site coordination meetings, client meetings, and technical discussions to ensure alignment with project schedules and construction requirements.

Good understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, construction coordination, testing, and commissioning.

Strong technical & analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Able to coordinate effectively with site teams, external consultants, subcontractors, and clients to meet project requirements and deadlines.

Willing to be based full-time at the project site in Kulim, Kedah.
