Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a Mechanical Construction Supervisor to oversee HVAC/ACMV installation and coordinate with MEP trades on site in Kulim Kedah. The role requires ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, QAQC, and project schedules.

You will review shop drawings, monitor progress, supervise manpower, and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and support timely handover.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical construction supervision for building or industrial projects.
• Familiar with local authority requirements, industry codes of practice, and technical standards related to mechanical installations and commissioning.
• Based at Kulim Kedah.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical works, including HVAC/ACMV systems, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Review mechanical shop drawings, method statements, and coordinated drawings to ensure proper site execution and coordination with other MEP trades.
• Monitor site progress, manpower deployment, and mechanical installation activities to ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
• Inspect and verify mechanical installations to ensure compliance with QAQC requirements, authority regulations, and operational standards.
• Coordinate closely with consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical and site coordination issues.
• Monitor testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems, including pre-commissioning inspections, system checks, and testing documentation.
• Attend coordination and progress meetings, prepare daily or weekly site reports, and monitor project milestones to support timely completion and handover.
