IJM Corporation Berhad is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Kulim, Kedah) to lead technical design reviews, monitor project progress, and coordinate MEP works on site. The role requires aBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4-5 years in construction, with strong HVAC knowledge and excellent communication with subcontractors, consultants and clients.

Based at Kulim Kedah, you will ensure compliance with mechanical and electrical specifications, safety standards, and project requirements

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and related mechanical works.

• Liaise with engineering teams, consultants and stakeholders to ensure design and processes meet project requirements.
• Review project drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely QA reports, site updates, and financial progress reports to Management/Immediate Superior.
• Supervise site personnel to ensure compliance with Mechanical (HVAC) and Electrical specs, standards and approved procedures.
• Coordinate MEP works to prevent clashes between building services.
• Review MEP drawings and resolve design discrepancies and site coordination issues.
• Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and MEP systems.
• Assist in monitoring subcontractors involved in M&E works.
• Ensure compliance with approved method statements, specs, contract requirements and safety standards.
• Supervise and motivate site staff to improve performance and productivity.

Liaise with engineering teams consultants, and stakeholders on technical design and processes to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Review project drawings and specifications.

Monitor project progress and ensure timely submission of quality assurance reports, site updates, and financial progress reports to Management/Immediate Superior.

Supervise site personnel to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with Mechanical (HVAC) and Electrical specifications, standards, and approved procedures.

Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works to ensure proper integration and prevent clashes between different building services.

Review MEP drawings and coordinate with relevant disciplines to resolve design discrepancies and site coordination issues.

Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and MEP systems to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Assist in monitoring and coordinating subcontractors involved in M&E works.

Ensure that all works comply with approved method statements, specifications, contract requirements, and safety standards.

Supervise, guide, and motivate site staff to improve performance, productivity, and job satisfaction.

Track and monitor the work progress of subordinates to ensure efficient execution and optimal resource allocation.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field

4-5 years of experience in construction projects

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and related mechanical works

Strong communication and coordination skills with subcontractors, consultants, and client
