Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad in Malaysia seeks an experienced Architect to manage and coordinate architectural works on site in Kulim, Kedah, ensuring alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

You will coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, clients and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain smooth construction progress, review drawings and submissions, and ensure constructability.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
• 10–15 years of architecture site construction experience.
• Experience in semiconductor facilities or mission-critical projects is advantageous.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate architectural works on site, ensuring execution aligns with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and construction schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, clients, and internal project teams to resolve architectural issues and ensure smooth construction progress.
• Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, and technical details to identify discrepancies and ensure constructability.
• Monitor architectural workmanship, material compliance, and site inspections to ensure completed works meet approved designs and project requirements.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with civil, structural, and M&E works to identify potential conflicts and facilitate timely resolution.
• Participate in site coordination meetings, monitor progress of architectural works, and support timely completion and handover.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience in semiconductor manufacturing facilities or other mission-critical projects is an advantage.

Good understanding of architectural quality control, constructability, and design coordination.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Willing to be based full-time at the project site in Kulim, Kedah.
