Job summary

Everbex Technologies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a Technical Engineer (L2) to support servers, networks, and virtualization. You will diagnose issues, perform root-cause analysis, and manage Windows and Linux server environments.

The role requires 3–5 years in IT infrastructure, strong Windows/Linux knowledge, and MSP experience. Travel to customer sites may be required; willingness to work after hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or CS or related field.
• 3–5 years in IT infrastructure support or sysadmin, MSP experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• Proficient with Linux distros (Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky/Alma/CentOS/RHEL).
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms and backup/security solutions.

Job Description

• Provide Level 2 technical support for servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and end-user systems.
• Investigate and resolve escalated incidents from Level 1 support teams.

• Administer Linux systems including user management, system updates, package management, storage, and service configuration.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), or CentOS.
• Experience with Linux administration including user and permission management, shell scripting, system monitoring, package management, and service troubleshooting.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox).
• Familiarity with backup solutions such as Veeam, Acronis, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching.
• Experience with firewall technologies such as FortiGate, Sophos, or Palo Alto is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and cloud services is an advantage.
• Experience with monitoring tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Other Requirements

• Possess a valid driving license and own transportation.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and attend onsite assignments as required.
• Willing to work outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, when required for maintenance activities, project implementations, or incident resolution.

• Able to participate in anon-call rotation and respond to critical incidents when necessary.
