Infomina is seeking a network infrastructure professional to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot client networks in a dynamic environment.

The role requires 3-5 years of hands-on experience, a relevant IT degree, and certifications. Travel across Malaysia is expected as part of the duties, with an emphasis on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years hands on experience across the listed responsibilities.
• Relevant certification from VoIP, VMware, Active Directory or Storage preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to change.
• Good written and verbal communication and business awareness.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
• Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with installation.
• Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security.
• Maximise network performance through monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Arrange scheduled upgrades and investigate faults in the network.
• Update network equipment to latest firmware releases.
• Report network status to key stakeholders.

Responsible for helping build out, maintain, and troubleshoot clientele’s rapidly expanding infrastructure. This role expected an equipped technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
2. Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
3. Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maxismise network efficiency and security
4. Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
5. Arranging scheduled upgrades and investigating faults in the network
6. Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
7. Reporting network status to key stakeholders

Secondary

• Familiar with either one of the following functions:
  • VoIP - Designs, tests, installs, and maintains both local VoIP systems in business and large networks that cover relevant regions
  • VMware - Use software from VMware to virtualize Windows servers and connect them to networks and clouds. Design and implement VMware solutions, troubleshoot VM environment problems, and provide technical support
  • Server (Active Directory) - Install Active Directory program, configuring domains within the tool, and managing the directory services across a variety of Windows servers. The career typically requires extensive experience with Active Directory and other Microsoft products
  • Storage - Handle and maintain data storage's engineering process, including building strategies and planning and implementing solutions for storage and maintenance of data and backing it up off-premises

Requirement

• Minimum 3-5 years hands on experience of carrying out the above job responsibilities
• Preferably candidate who possess a relevant certification from any of the above functions (VoIP, VMWare, server (AD), storage, network)
• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I.T. or its equivalent
• An ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal
• Commercial and business awareness
• Applicants must be willing to travel across Malaysia
• Willing to learn and to work after working hours
