Job summary

Arup in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Transmission & Distribution Engineer to lead the detailed design of HV substations and collaborate across ASEAN regions. The role develops skills in life cycle design, asset management and project execution for energy and infrastructure projects.

You will work with cross-disciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and partners, and contribute to bid development and technical solutions. Malaysian regulatory compliance and TNB interfaces are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering with HV focus.
• Experience with conceptual, FEED and detailed substation design.
• Strong knowledge of TNB regulatory requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed design of medium voltage substations and high voltage substations for energy projects.
• Review designs for compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
• Collaborate with drafting teams to reflect latest technical and client requirements.
• Provide technical oversight during FAT and SAT tests.
• Support regional integration with Australasia teams on substation design.
