Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive HV design experience, focusing on data centre substations. You will lead HV substation projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure grid connection compliance.

The role requires strong technical reporting and client liaison across international teams. Candidates should have 5+ years in HV electrical design, familiarity with data centre infrastructure, and experience with renewables is a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in high voltage electrical engineering design.
Experience with data centre electrical infrastructure desirable.
Experience in renewable energy projects (e.g., wind farm, solar) considered favourably.
Prior involvement in grid connection studies and utility liaison preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver HV substation design for data centre and related infrastructure projects, including primary plant and layouts.
Design and review transmission line elements where required.
Conduct or oversee load flow, fault level, and protection coordination studies.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports to a high standard.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design integration.
Support grid connection processes and utility requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Ensure designs comply with electrical standards and safety requirements.
Contribute to the growth of HV engineering capability within the business.
