Job summary

Surbana Jurong in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Director of Transmission & Distribution to lead technical excellence, steer large-scale projects and guide multidisciplinary design teams. You will drive strategic delivery from feasibility through detailed design, engaging with OEMs, Owner’s Engineer, Contractors and authorities.

Key requirements include 15+ years in T&D project leadership, ability to manage diverse teams, strong communication and reporting skills, and readiness to travel overseas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in managing/design of T&D projects with 5+ years in leadership.
• Proven experience on large-scale T&D projects.
• Ability to lead diversified, multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Independent project management with strong presentation, communication and report writing skills.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Willingness to travel overseas on short notice.
• Strong ethics, teamwork and cross-border collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish technical excellence in T&D and provide strategic direction.
• Lead feasibility studies, FEED, PMC and detailed designs; review key documents.
• Engage with OEMs, Owner’s Engineer, Contractors and Authorities in high-level discussions.
• Support business development, prospecting and client-facing meetings.
• Collaborate with regional Energy leaders to grow T&D business.
• Contribute to strategic plans to expand T&D activities regionally.
• Develop and support planning from business development to delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers to build a high-performance team.
