Job summary

Hunt & Gather Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Systems Analyst to lead the analysis, design, and delivery of custom software built on the .NET and Azure stack. You will bridge business stakeholders and development teams, translating procurement and licensing requirements into clear technical specifications.

You will collaborate across the full SDLC to ensure on-time delivery, perform gap analyses, and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Qualifications

• Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements for custom solutions, focusing on procurement and licensing workflows.
• Translate requirements into system specifications, data flow diagrams, use cases, and user stories for the development team.
• Design solution architectures using the .NET framework and Microsoft Azure services, ensuring scalability and security.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and project managers throughout the full software development life cycle.
• Conduct gap analyses on existing systems and propose enhancements or integrations to streamline processes.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), document test scenarios, and coordinate sign-off with business stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date system documentation, technical specifications, and process maps to support maintenance and audits.

You will bridge business stakeholders and development teams, translating procurement and licensing domain requirements into clear technical specifications. This role sits at the intersection of solution architecture and business process improvement, making a direct impact on how our internal and client-facing systems perform.

What you'll do

• Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements for custom solution projects, with a focus on procurement and licensing workflows
• Translate requirements into detailed system specifications, data flow diagrams, use cases, and user stories for the development team
• Design and validate solution architectures using .NET frameworks and Microsoft Azure services, ensuring scalability and security
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and project managers throughout the full software development life cycle to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery
• Conduct gap analyses on existing systems and propose enhancements or integrations that streamline procurement and licensing processes
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), document test scenarios, and coordinate sign-off with business stakeholders
• Maintain up-to-date system documentation, technical specifications, and process maps to support ongoing maintenance and audits

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in systems analysis and design for custom software projects
• Hands-on working knowledge of .NET (C# or VB.NET) and the ability to review and discuss code-level implementation with developers
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, or equivalent)
• Understanding of procurement and/or software licensing business processes, workflows, or domain knowledge
• Proficiency in requirements documentation tools and modelling notations (UML, BPMN, or similar)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills — able to present technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments
