Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional software development experience.

Hirix is looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to own the architecture and delivery of cloud-native applications built on .NET, Angular, and Microsoft Azure. You will set engineering standards, guide a cross-functional development team, and partner with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who leads by example-comfortable writing production code while keeping the broader technical vision in focus.

What you'll do

• Architect and deliver end-to-end features across a .NET backend (C#, ASP.NET Core) and Angular frontend, maintaining high standards for code quality and performance.
• Define and enforce engineering best practices-branching strategies, code-review processes, testing standards, and CI/CD pipelines-across the team.
• Design and manage Azure infrastructure (App Services, Azure SQL, Service Bus, Azure DevOps, and related PaaS offerings) to ensure reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Mentor and upskill mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and structured technical guidance.
• Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to refine requirements, estimate effort, and translate user stories into well-scoped technical tasks.
• Identify and resolve technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities proactively, documenting decisions in architecture records.
• Lead sprint planning and technical ceremonies, providing clear progress visibility to engineering managers and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• 5-10 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on C# and ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC).
• Proven track record building and maintaining Angular (v12+) single-page applications, including component design, RxJS, and state management.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions on Microsoft Azure-App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Service Bus, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices patterns, and integration approaches (message queues, event-driven architecture).
• Experience leading or mentoring a development team, including conducting code reviews and driving technical decision-making.
• Proficiency with Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, and writing optimised queries for production workloads.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices: automated testing (unit, integration), CI/CD, and secure coding standards.
• Strong communication skills-able to articulate technical trade-offs clearly to both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders.
