Burgeon Bricks Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented System Technician to join our ICT team in Eco Palladium, Johor Bahru. This full-time role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining robust IT infrastructure to support our business operations.

You will manage servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud resources, ensuring reliability, security and performance. A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required, with 3–5 years in systems administration and networking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of systems administration and network infrastructure experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with security, backup and disaster recovery practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain network infrastructure including servers, databases and storage.
• Monitor system performance and optimise efficiency to prevent downtime.
• Install, configure and upgrade operating systems and system software.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain system documentation including diagrams and procedures.
• Implement security controls and disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to support business needs.
• Perform capacity planning and advise on upgrades.
• Support virtualization and cloud initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Burgeon Bricks Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented System Technician to join our dynamic Information & Communication Technology team based in Eco Palladium, Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position that offers a pivotal opportunity to design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure and systems that support our business operations. As a System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network and systems infrastructure, directly contributing to our operational excellence and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain company network infrastructure, including servers, databases and storage systems
• Monitor system performance and health, implementing proactive solutions to optimise efficiency and prevent downtime
• Install, configure and upgrade operating systems, applications and system software across the organisation
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including architecture diagrams, configurations and procedures
• Implement and enforce security protocols, access controls and disaster recovery procedures
• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support business requirements and infrastructure needs
• Perform capacity planning and provide recommendations for infrastructure expansion and upgrades
• Support virtualisation and cloud infrastructure initiatives
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide emergency support outside standard business hours

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3-5 years of proven experience in systems administration and network infrastructure management
• Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server, Linux and related platforms
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V or similar solutions
• Proficiency in network administration and understanding of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
• Experience with storage solutions, backup technologies and disaster recovery procedures
• Knowledge of security best practices, firewalls, and access control systems
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud is advantageous
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Associate, or equivalent are preferred
• Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management tools is a plus
