Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled System Engineer / Windows Systems Administrator to join our infrastructure support team in Penang. The ideal candidate will manage Windows Server environments, virtualization, patch management, and enterprise server operations in a proactive, troubleshooting‑driven capacity.

You will administer Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Hyper‑V, IIS, SCCM, AD/DNS/DHCP, and participate in change control, DR activities, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 3–5 years of Windows Sys Admin/Infrastructure experience.
• Hands‑on Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration.
• Experience with IIS, SCCM, and patch management.
• Strong AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server environments.
• Manage Hyper‑V virtualization for availability and performance.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IIS web servers.
• Handle Windows patch management and software deployment via SCCM.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled System Engineer / Windows Systems Administrator to join our infrastructure support team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience managing Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, patch management, and enterprise server operations. This role requires a proactive individual with strong troubleshooting abilities and a solid understanding of Windows‑based infrastructure in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Manage and monitor Hyper‑V virtualization infrastructure to ensure optimal system availability and performance.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Internet Information Services (IIS) web servers.
• Perform Microsoft Windows patch management, security updates, and software deployment using Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager).
• Monitor server health, system performance, and infrastructure capacity, implementing improvements where necessary.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for server‑related incidents, service requests, and infrastructure issues.
• Diagnose and resolve operating system, application, and hardware‑related problems within agreed service levels.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system implementations.
• Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and technical knowledge articles.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, patching windows, and change management processes.
• Support business continuity, disaster recovery activities, and system backup validation where required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator, System Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
• Microsoft Windows Server Administration (2016/2019/2022)
• Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Microsoft SCCM for software deployment and patch management
• Windows Server Performance Monitoring and Optimization
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise Windows infrastructure in production environments.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Server administration is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes is an advantage.
• Experience working within ITIL‑based support environments is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, Azure Administrator, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure in manufacturing or large‑scale corporate environments is beneficial.
