Job summary

Bintulu Port is seeking an IT Solutions Analyst to analyse business processes, gather requirements and support implementation, integration and maintenance of IT systems across the group.

You will coordinate testing, deployments and upgrades, monitor performance and provide technical support while maintaining documentation and ensuring information security practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience with databases, hardware, software, applications and multimedia is preferred.
• Familiarity with systems analysis, requirements gathering and technical documentation.
• Understanding of information security fundamentals, including ISMS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with users to analyse business processes, gather requirements and prepare functional and technical specifications.
• Support the design, configuration, development and integration of IT systems and solutions.
• Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing, implementation and upgrades with users and vendors.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and provide technical support.
• Maintain system documentation, provide user training and ensure compliance with IT policies and information security requirements.
• Support IT project delivery, vendor coordination and progress reporting; suggest process and technology improvements.

Job description

Analyse business requirements and support the implementation, integration and maintenance of IT solutions across BPHB Group. Assignments may cover applications, digital solutions, data systems, networks or IT infrastructure, depending on organisational needs and the candidate’s expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage with users to analyse business processes, gather requirements and prepare functional and technical specifications.
• Support the design, configuration, development and integration of IT systems and solutions in line with business requirements.
• Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing, implementation and upgrades with users, technical teams and vendors.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to maintain reliable IT services.
• Maintain system documentation, provide user training and comply with IT policies, information security requirements and safe work practices.
• Support IT project delivery, quotation and tender specifications, vendor coordination and progress reporting; recommend process and technology improvements.

Skills Required

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Working Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience, with knowledge of databases, hardware, software, applications and multimedia.
• Skills:
• Knowledge in one or more relevant areas, such as systems analysis, application development, databases, systems integration, networks, IT infrastructure or digital solutions.
• Understanding of requirements gathering, system testing, technical documentation and information security fundamentals, including ISMS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate user needs into practical technical solutions.
• Good communication, teamwork and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently and guide users.
• Relevant IT experience or certifications will be an advantage.
