Responsibilities

• Support deployment of new technologies and smart automation to improve line efficiency.

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Equipment & Automation Support Engineer to spearhead the performance, uptime, and reliability of our complex System Assembly production lines.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between advanced physical machinery and automated software systems. You will serve as the factory floor’s premier technical anchor minimizing downtime, optimizing machinery availability, and implementing sustainable, data-driven automation improvements. Based in Selangor.

Responsibilities

• First‑Line Crisis Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact during machine breakdowns and production disruptions to restore operations rapidly.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform hands‑on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs, and execute comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Analyze complex equipment issues, identify underlying root causes using structured data, and engineer sustainable, permanent technical solutions.
• Automation & Process Improvement: Support the deployment and scaling of new technologies, smart automation, and physical‑digital integrations to drive continuous line efficiency.
• Uptime Optimization: Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives to shave down cycle times, maximize equipment reliability, and boost overall production uptime.

Experience & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial), Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in manufacturing production support, equipment maintenance, PCBA, box‑build assembly, cable harnessing, or complex logistics operations.
• Exceptional problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities (experience handling hardware‑software or embedded system interactions is highly valued).
• Strong background in structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement framework execution. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar practices is a distinct advantage.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the resilient mindset needed to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
