Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Ideally 5 or more years of experience in factory production environment, including managerial exposure.
• Familiar with NPI/Product Transfer activities.
• Good understanding of Engineering principles and Quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Realisation of product specifications and production layout.
• Creation of PFMEA, Control Plan, and Manufacturing Instruction.
• Leadership in customer complaint investigation and corrective actions.
• Support implementation of QMS as per ISO 9001.

Job description

A reputable MNC fast-growing electronic manufacturer.

Job responsibilities

• Product realisation including meeting project deliverables, finalise Product Specification, BOM, Assembly concept, DFM and Production layout
• Creation of PFMEA, Control Plan and Manufacturing Instruction
• Assembly Jigs and Fixtures design
• Product release acceptance criteria including defining in-process testing and final outgoing
• Product failure analysis and implementation of corrective actions
• Build assembly engineering team to improve and sustain mass production products, including First Pass Yield, Engineering Change, Cost and Productivity improvement
• Play key role in customer complaint investigation, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
• Maintain currency of PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instructions and Manufacturing Instructions
• Work closely with Production on operator training / skill competency matters
• Support the implementation and maintenance of QMS according to ISO 9001 requirements
• Participate in Internal / External audits including clearance of ISO and Customer Audits
• Lead and participate in assign Kaizen Projects

Job requirements

• Minimum Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent discipline
• Ideally 5 or more years of experience in factory production environment, inclusive managerial/ leading exposure
• Proficient in Malay and English languages
• Experienced in the NPI/First Article Qualification/Product Transfer activities
• Experienced in product lifecycle management & production process control methodologies
• Good understanding in Engineering principles / use of Quality Tools and Lean Tools
• Able to interpret Engineering drawings, tolerance stack analysis
• Familiar with CAD Software, Jigs, and fixtures design
