Position: Equipment Engineer
The Opportunity

Our client is a global powerhouse in advanced manufacturing and sensory technology. They are looking for a skilled Equipment Engineer to join their state-of-the-art facility. This role is ideal for a proactive technical expert who thrives in a precision-driven environment and enjoys the challenge of optimizing complex automated systems.

Based in: Malaysia

Core Responsibilities

• System Lifecycle Management: Lead the installation, wiring, setup, and commissioning of a diverse range of production machinery, including injection molding, assembly, cleaning, and baking systems.

• Maintenance & Reliability: Develop and execute comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance and calibration schedules.

• Expert Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive fault analysis and preventive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and maximum equipment reliability.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and yield while actively reducing labor and maintenance costs.

• Training & Mentorship: Act as the technical lead for equipment operators, managing their training and certification to ensure 100% competency within their first 90 days.

• Documentation & Safety: Standardize and archive SOPs, equipment manuals, and asset ledgers while ensuring all operations strictly adhere to health and safety regulations.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in equipment engineering or maintenance roles.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems.

• Process Familiarity: Prior experience with injection molding, assembly, baking, or gluing processes is highly preferred.

• Design & Analysis Skills: Proficient in tooling/fixture design, NPI (New Product Introduction) development, and quality analysis tools.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to coordinate across departments and manage tasks with a high sense of ownership.
