Job summary

DKSH Klang site is seeking a Logistics Operations Assistant to support daily order completion across all functions, ensuring timely picking, packing and invoicing.

You will monitor DO to invoice, verify inventory via physical counts, manage MHE status, uphold safety rules, and assist with manpower planning based on daily order status. The role requires at least 1 year in a similar role, a Diploma in Logistics, and fluency in local language and English; work location is Sg Jati, Klang.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Diploma in Logistics or equivalent.
• Understanding of distribution centre, distribution and transportation.
• Hands-on warehousing and pick/pack experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and reliability.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; fluency in local language and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Picking Dept HOD to run daily operations on order completion.
• Monitor DO – Invoice completion by respective shift.
• Investigate inventory issues by reconciling physical counts with the system and liaising with inventory on transactions.
• Check MHE status and raise job sheets for any MHE down.
• Ensure in-house safety and security rules are adhered to by all staff.
• Plan manpower allocation based on daily order status and monitor RF picking method.
• Report on disciplinary issues to head of department.
• Close monthly and customer-specific sales orders to be invoiced within required timelines.
• Follow-up on SID closures raised by security department.

About The Role

What You Will Deliver

• Assist Picking Dept HOD to run daily operations on order completion
• Monitor DO - Invoice completion by respective shift
• Act on inventory issues reported by clerk by conducting physical count versus system, check documentation, liaison with inventory department on system transaction checking.
• Check MHE Status and raise job sheet for any MHE down
• Ensure In-house Safety and security rules are adhered to by all staff
• Plan for manpower allocation based on daily order status and monitor RF picking method
• Report on any disciplinary issues to head of department
• Monthly (Closing Orders), Darlie (H&H) & Mars (Petfood) sales closing orders to be invoiced within a provided timeline by customer
• Follow-up on SID closure raised by security department

What You Bring

• At least 1 year working experience in similar capacity
• Diploma in Logistics or its equivalent
• Demonstrate working understanding of distribution centre, distribution and transportation.
• Proven hands-on experience in warehousing, pick and pack functions.
• Demonstrate strong appreciation of customer service requirements and commitment.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
• Applicants must be willing to work in Sg Jati, Klang.
