Job summary

DKSH is seeking an Executive Distribution Center Operations supervisor in Klang to oversee the picking department and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

You will assign daily tasks, maintain stock integrity, ensure 98.5% picking accuracy and 98% order accuracy, and support health and safety and stock counts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or its equivalent.
• At least 2 years working experience in similar capacity.
• Excellent people and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skill.
• Computer literate, with the capability to use systems for information access and report functions.
• Experienced in MS Office applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
• Inventory controls and knowledge on impacts of inaccurate pick face.
• Total quality of all operational duties to ensure accurate order picks and product receipts.
• Profit drivers of warehouse activities and how best to utilized available resources.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all staff have assignments for the day and that these are completed correctly and on time.
• Complete all picking functions and consolidate products at despatch for accurate loadings.
• Ensure picking accuracy at 98.5% and order accuracy of 98%.
• Maintain a clean, tidy warehouse and stock integrity.
• Comply with OH&S standards and report incidents promptly.
• Ensure stock-checks and that stock movement is well-documented for invoices.
• Monitor Outstanding DO daily and take appropriate action.
• Report losses or damages to warehouse assets.
• Assist with stock counts and cycle counts and prepare activity.
• Organize daily workload to optimize resources.
• Follow up daily requirements laid out by Operations Management with documented actions.
• Prepare and support daily order fulfillment and process improvements.

About The Role

To supervise and ensure the execution of the picking department tasks are completed.

What You Will Deliver

• Ensure that all staff have assignments for the day and the undertaking of these assignments are being completed correctly and on timely basis


• Complete all the picking functions and ensure that the products are consolidated at despatch in a manner that will enable accurate loadings


• To ensure picking accuracy at 98.5% and order accuracy of 98%.


• To ensure a clean and tidy warehouse and maintain integrity of stocks and pick locations


• Comply with accepted occupational health and safety standards and reporting of incidents in a timely manner.


• Ensure that all Materials Handling Equipment is maintained and used in a company accepted manner


• Ensure all stock out situations are captured and recorded. This must be in conjunction with relevant documents to support invoices


• To check daily the “Outstanding DO” report and take appropriate action as needed.


• Report any losses or damages within the warehouse on products or assets


• To part-take in company stock counts and cycle count processes, and also aid in the preparation of said activities


• Organise daily work load to optimize resources.


• Follow up all daily requirements as laid out by Operations Management, with documented actions and work towards a daily completion of all orders.
