Job summary

RBC is seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor to lead Corporate Actions within Securities Operations in Putrajaya. You will drive SLA adherence, supervise the team, and provide expert guidance on complex settlement and asset transition requirements.

You will manage Lifecycle from announcement to Entitlement Processing, perform risk mitigation, and coordinate reconciliations while supporting strategic initiatives and process improvements. 40-hour weeks, on-site in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred.
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Minimum 8 years of working experiences within a Securities Operations environment.
• Experience in managing people.
• In-depth knowledge of global practices in relation to Corporate Actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Corporate Actions workflows and ensure SLA adherence.
• Provide SME guidance on complex Corporate Actions handling.
• Contact counterparties for escalation matters.
• Oversee lifecycle from announcement to Entitlement Processing.
• Coordinate Stock and Cash Reconciliation to monitor ledger entries.
• Drive risk mitigation controls and process improvements.
• Supervise workload and staff performance.
• Support ad-hoc projects and UAT for BI Securities Operations.
• Escalate financial or reputational risks to management.
• Liaise with BI Securities Operations on system issues.

Job Description

Responsible for leading and overseeing Corporate Actions within Securities Operations. This role ensures compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), manages team escalations, and provides expert guidance on complex settlement and asset transition requirements. The supervisor drives operational excellence, implements risk mitigation controls, and ensures all transactions are processed in accordance with RBC policies, regulatory circulars, and local requirements.

Working hours : 3.00PM -12.00AM / 4.00PM -1.00PM

What do you need to succeed?

• Responsible for effective management of Corporate Actions workflows including and not limited to adherence to SLA, handling escalations from team members, technical support for team members and workload review.
• Provide subject matter expertise around complex Corporate Actions handling in support of the team processing requirements and responsibilities.
• Contact counterparties to liaise with escalation matters.
• Role covers:
• Corporate Actions Lifecycle Management from announcement through to Entitlement Processing.
• Calculation of Unit Trust Distributions in line with Group 1 + Group 2 payment splitting.
• Stock and Cash Reconciliation to monitor any outstanding ledger or statements entries.
• Drives and plan support and participation in strategic initiatives, continuous process improvements, process reviews, market rules changes.
• Drives implementation of controls and processes to mitigate risks.
• Provide supervision, allocation, and organization of work among team members to ensure efficiency and adequate leave coverage.
• Provide direction and guidance where necessary.
• Ensure all queries are addressed promptly and accurately.
• Ensure that all transactions are processed in accordance with bank rule, circulars, procedures, and local requirements.
• Provide relief support and other duties assigned and cross train on all functions performed with the team and across department.
• Participation in ad-hoc projects and User Acceptance Testing at the request of the BI Securities Operations team.
• To supervise, motivate and provide guidance for team members through the ongoing management of staff performance and related reviews.
• The escalation to Manager of matters which may present a financial or reputational risk, supported by current market practices, procedural evidence and supporting documentation.
• Provide impact analysis and root cause analysis for any Operational Risk Events that may arise.
• Liaison with BI Securities Operations team for all systems/event driven issues.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred.

PREFERRED
