Job summary

JMG TECHNOLOGIES SDN. BHD. is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing activities, ensuring competitive pricing, on-time delivery and compliance with quality standards.

The role involves sourcing, negotiating with suppliers, processing POs, and monitoring performance. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of purchasing experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and be proficient in Excel and purchasing systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or a related field.
• 2–3 years of working experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Demonstrated negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and purchasing systems.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong sense of responsibility, accountability and attention to detail.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good teamwork and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favourable purchasing terms.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO) according to approved requests.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules and product quality.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure materials and supplies are available when required.
• Compare quotations and conduct cost analysis before making purchasing decisions.
• Monitor purchasing expenses and assist in preparing and controlling the purchasing budget.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and identify potential new suppliers.
• Ensure all purchasing documents, quotations, invoices and records are properly maintained.
• Follow up on outstanding orders, delayed deliveries and supplier-related issues.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
