Job summary

SHANGTAI TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. invites a procurement professional to oversee tender, RFQ/RFP processes and supplier selection.

You will prepare and monitor Purchase Orders, negotiate terms, and drive cost savings while aligning with production needs. You will coordinate with production and warehouse teams, maintain supplier records, and ensure compliance with company procurement policies. The role requires strong analytical skills, 2 years in purchasing, and fluency in Bahasa Malaysia

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field
• Minimum 2 years purchasing/procurement experience
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Chinese communication skills are an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing/inventory systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee tender, RFQ, RFP and quotation processes per policy.
• Source, evaluate and select suppliers for production materials.
• Prepare, issue and monitor Purchase Orders based on production needs.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules for cost savings.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse for timely material delivery.
• Monitor outstanding orders and evaluate supplier performance.
• Maintain procurement records and supplier information.
• Conduct cost analysis and coordinate with finance on invoices and payments.
• Handle import/export documentation and customs clearance when required.
• Review and improve procurement procedures and SOPs.
