Job summary

Hirehub Group in Penang seeks an experienced procurement professional to source, evaluate, and manage suppliers for manufacturing and project needs. You will negotiate terms, issue POs, and track deliveries to ensure cost efficiency and on-time performance.

The role requires 2–5 years in purchasing, familiarity with ERP systems, and strong communication. Degree or diploma in engineering or related field preferred; knowledge of technical drawings is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing or site projects
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Familiar with procurement software and ERP systems
• Knowledge of technical drawings and specifications is a plus
• Good organizational and time management abilities

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service criteria
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors and subcontractors
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams to understand material requirements and specifications
• Track order status to ensure timely delivery and address any delays or issues
• Evaluate market trends and alternative materials to drive cost-saving initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier documentation
• Ensure compliance with company standards and relevant industry regulations
