The role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers, requesting quotations based on specifications, and negotiating terms to ensure timely, cost-effective purchases aligned with production plans. You will manage purchase orders, maintain records, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with QA to address

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in business, supply chain or related field.
• Minimum 2 years purchasing experience.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers of raw materials, parts, and services
• Request and evaluate quotations based on technical specifications and quality requirements
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms
• Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders to ensure alignment with production plans
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and contract documentation
• Ensure materials comply with technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and performance
• Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost savings
• Support cost reduction initiatives and ensure adherence to budgets
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address non-conformance and implement corrective actions
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
