Job summary

Grab is seeking a strategic Merchant Acquisition professional to drive GrabMart’s growth by onboarding new merchants, negotiating agreements, and building lasting partnerships with supermarkets, convenience chains, and FMCG brands.

You will collaborate with KAM, Marketing, Product, and Operations to align acquisition efforts with overall business goals, monitor trends, and ensure targets for merchant signings and GMV are met.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to acquire new merchants for GrabMart, including identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Manage a pipeline of prospective retail partners, tracking progress and ensuring consistent follow-up to hit acquisition targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Key Account Management, Marketing, Product, and Operations - to ensure a cohesive approach to merchant acquisition and onboarding.
• Analyze retail and quick-commerce trends, competitor activity, and category developments to identify opportunities and refine acquisition strategies.
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets across new merchant signings, category coverage, and GMV contribution - reporting on progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
