Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Business Development Manager (Contract Logistic) to drive revenue growth by leading tendering for logistics projects and expanding the client base. You will strategize BD plans and coordinate with operations, finance, and legal teams to secure successful tender awards.

The role demands strong negotiation and presentation skills, market insight, and the ability to analyze data for actionable strategies. A Bachelor's degree and 5–8 years in logistics are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5 to 8 years of experience within the logistics industry
• Proven track record of success in business development within the logistics industry
• Strong understanding of logistics operations and tendering processes, including contract management and negotiations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and develop actionable insights and strategies
• Experience in managing large-scale logistics projects and complex supply chain solutions is highly desirable
• Strong Microsoft Excel skill for costing and analytical purposes

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of strategic business development plans focused on tendering for logistics projects
• Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and market research
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers
• Manage the end-to-end tender process, including bid preparation, submission, negotiation, and contract award
• Collaborate closely with operations, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of tendered projects
• Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches tailored to client requirements and project specifications
• Achieve sales targets and objectives while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
