Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a seasoned Manager to support the Head of Business Management in formulating and executing strategy, driving performance, and leading transformation initiatives. The role collaborates with global teams to optimize business processes and align with corporate strategy.

Key responsibilities include managing strategic planning, monitoring project execution, and supporting M&A and partnerships.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of related working experience in strategic planning, performance management, project management, process improvement and change management.
• Tertiary education in business, management, actuarial science or a related field.
• Technical proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support Strategy Formulation and Execution: Assist in developing and refining the corporate vision and strategy. Collaborate with the Head to manage strategic planning processes and initiatives.
• Performance and Transformation Management: Monitor and report on the execution of strategic plans and transformation projects. Identify opportunities for process improvements and support change management efforts.
• Project Management: Lead specific strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver project outcomes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication between teams, stakeholders, and the Head of Business Management. Support the development of strategic communication plans in partnership with the communications function.
• Support M&A and Partnerships: Assist in the evaluation and execution of M&A activities and strategic partnerships.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team. Identify and implement best practices in strategic planning and performance management across the organisation.
