Job summary

Dolphin Logistics Supply Chain Management (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manager of Sales to identify new business in freight forwarding and logistics from its Penang base. You will conduct visits, cold calls, and presentations while building strong client relationships and managing major accounts.

You will lead pricing, negotiations, and collaborations with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to deliver competitive solutions and achieve revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field.
• 2–8 years of sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or related industries.
• Existing customer/network contacts in freight forwarding or logistics will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of sea freight, air freight, trucking, customs clearance, and logistics services.
• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding and logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities in freight forwarding and logistics.
• Conduct sales visits, cold calls, meetings, and presentations to prospective customers.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
• Understand customers' logistics requirements and propose suitable freight and logistics solutions.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate rates and commercial terms with customers.
• Coordinate with operations and pricing teams to ensure competitive quotations.
• Follow up on quotations, sales leads, and opportunities.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and gross profit objectives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and freight rates.
• Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking activities when required.
• Lead, manage, coach, and motivate the sales team.
