Key Responsibilities
1. Goods Receiving & Inspection
- Receive incoming goods and verify quantity, quality, and specifications against purchase orders, delivery orders, or packing lists.
- Immediately report any discrepancies, damages, or defective items to the supervisor.
2. Inventory Recording & Updating
- Record and update all stock movements accurately in the inventory system in a timely manner.
- Ensure system data matches physical stock at all times.
3. Storage & Organization
- Arrange, label, and store items systematically in designated warehouse locations for easy retrieval.
- Maintain proper stacking, handling, and segregation of materials according to company procedures.
4. Issuing of Materials
- Issue materials and items to internal departments strictly based on authorized Material Requisitions (MR) or Delivery Orders (DO).
- Ensure accuracy in quantity and item type before releasing goods.
- Monitor stock levels regularly and alert the Purchasing department when replenishment is needed.
- Assist in preventing stockouts or overstocking through timely communication.
6. Stock Counting & Auditing
- Perform daily cycle counts, scheduled stock takes, and full physical inventory counts as required.
- Investigate and report any inventory discrepancies to the supervisor.
7. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain and file all relevant documentation, including Goods Received Notes (GRN), Delivery Orders (DO), stock records, and transfer forms.
- Ensure all paperwork is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
8. Warehouse Cleanliness & Safety
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and clutter-free at all times.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues promptly.
9. Cross-Department Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Purchasing, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and timely order fulfillment.
- Communicate stock status, delays, or issues to relevant parties as needed.
- Handle returned, damaged, or rejected goods in accordance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers or internal teams for replacements, credit notes, or disposal.
11. Forklift Operations
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, and internal movement of materials.
- Perform pre-use inspections and basic maintenance checks on the forklift.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience
- At least 1–3 years of working experience in a warehouse, store, or logistics environment.
Licenses & Certifications
- Possess a valid forklift driving license/certification – mandatory.
- Proven ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Technical Skills
- Basic computer knowledge, especially in Microsoft Excel and inventory/warehouse management systems.
- Familiarity with stock control procedures and warehouse documentation (GRN, DO, MR, etc.).
Physical Requirements
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving goods.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
