Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate planning, receiving and issuing of raw materials and finished goods. The role requires leadership of store staff and close collaboration with production, sales and purchasing to keep schedules intact.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in warehousing, strong English communication, and a proactive, independent work style with own transport. Safety and accuracy are essential in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, movement, storage, control, receiving and issuance of raw materials and finished goods.
• Set up inventory labeling and storing system in the store.
• Ensure warehousing activities are carried out safely and efficiently according to procedures.
• Lead and manage a group of store staff.
• Hands-on in receiving and issuing goods when necessary.
• Plan and execute daily store activities including customer documentation and warehouse management.
• Communicate issues impacting stocks or production schedules.
• Collaborate with production, sales and purchasing to ensure smooth material transfers.
• Address slow-moving and aging inventory while maintaining optimal stock turns.
• Maintain clean, organized store and ensure input/output aligns with paperwork.
• Ensure stock counts and system stock quantity (SQL, etc.) tally.
• Approve or reject packed or sorted items per quality specifications.
• Other tasks as assigned by the company.

Job description

• Responsible for the coordination of planning, moving, storing, controlling, receiving and issuance of raw material and finished goods.
• Be involved in setting up the inventory, labelling and storing system in the store.
• To ensure warehousing activities are carried out safely and efficiently according to procedure.
• To lead and manage a group of store staff.
• Hands on in receiving and issuing goods when necessary.
• To plan and execute daily store activities which comprise of customers’ documentation and warehouse management for raw material and finished goods.
• To communicate any issues that might impact stocks or production schedule commitments.
• To work closely with production, sales and purchasing departments to ensure correct materials and finished goods transfer without affecting schedule.
• To follow through an action for slow moving and aging inventory while maintain inventory levels to maximize inventory turns.
• To maintain clean and an organized store.
• To ensure input and output of the warehouse in accordance to the paperwork.
• To ensure that the physical stock count, stock card and system SQL stock quantity is always tally.
• To approve or reject packed items or sorting items as per quality specifications.

Possess knowledge of IATF will be added advantage.

• Other task assigned by company from time to time.

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree related to Warehousing or equivalent.
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in warehouse field.
• Excellent communication skill in both writing and oral English.
• Possess own transport.
• Ability to work independent and pro-active attitude.
• A team player able to work across department balancing the need for customer satisfaction and improved plant productivity.
