Job summary

Contacthings Solution Sdn Bhd is seeking a Warehouse Operations Assistant in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The role involves receiving, unloading, inspecting, packing, labeling, sorting, and organizing inventory while supporting stock counts and documentation.

You will help ensure accurate records and efficient workflow in a fast-paced warehousing environment. Ideal candidates have a Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent, basic MS Excel/Word skills, and a proactive, team‑oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Excel and Word) is essential.
• Good communication and teamwork skills are important.
• Physically fit and able to handle light lifting and warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, unloading and inspecting incoming goods against delivery orders and purchase orders.
• Pack, unpack, label and sort materials, equipment, and products.
• Assist in stock arrangement to keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Support inventory counting, stock takes and cycle counts.
• Update inventory movements and maintain stock records in the inventory system.
• Prepare materials for customer deliveries and internal project requirements; assist with shipping documents.

Job description

This role involves supporting warehouse and inventory operations, including receiving, unloading, checking, and inspecting incoming goods against delivery orders and purchase orders. You will perform packing, unpacking, labeling, and sorting of materials, equipment, and products, and assist in stock arrangement to ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and easily accessible.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, unloading, checking, and inspecting incoming goods against delivery orders and purchase orders
• Perform packing, unpacking, labeling, and sorting of materials, equipment, and products
• Assist in stock arrangement to ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and easily accessible
• Support inventory counting, stock takes, and cycle counts
• Update inventory movements and maintain accurate stock records in the Company's inventory system
• Prepare materials and products for customer deliveries and internal project requirements
• Support the preparation of shipping documents, packing lists, and delivery records
• Analyze incoming goods during receiving and unpacking activities, identify variances and discrepancies, and recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
• Comply with the Company's safety procedures and warehouse SOPs
• Assist with ad-hoc operational and logistics tasks assigned by the supervisor
