Job summary

Genting Malaysia Bhd is seeking an Intern – Sport Science to assist gym members and support daily operations at Resorts World Genting. You will help members perform exercises safely, monitor equipment, and provide basic first aid when needed.

The role requires a current diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Sports Management, Physical Education, Fitness, or related field.
• Passionate about fitness, health and customer service.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible, disciplined, proactive and have a positive attitude.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Fit and capable of assisting with daily gym operations.
• Basic knowledge of gym equipment and exercise techniques.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Internship period must be 3 months and above.
• CGPA 3.0 and above.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist gym members.
• Ensure members perform exercises using correct techniques.
• Monitor use of gym equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Provide basic first aid and assistance in emergencies.
• Operate the public address system for daily announcements.
• Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and in good condition.
