Job summary

Hilti (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a technically savvy engineer with a background in structures or sales to support design professionals and drive specification of Hilti solutions in Malaysia. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to grow Hilti's presence and profitability while applying sound engineering judgment.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and the ability to manage large accounts, with opportunities to advance across Hilti's global markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Engineering degree required.
• 4–5 years in design of structures/architecture or 3–4 years in sales/business development in engineering sector.
• Experience with structural designers or architects preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and commitment.
• Self-motivated with a track record of meeting business targets.
• Experience handling large, multi-department accounts.

Responsibilities

• Visit engineering and architectural firms, offices and construction sites to identify opportunities for Hilti specifications and adoption of Hilti software, services and products.
• Conduct seminars for engineers, architects and contractors to raise awareness of Hilti applications.
• Contribute to growth and profitability through technical project management.
• Lead focus project specifications for Hilti products and support sales in converting specs to sales; communicate specs in Salesforce and coordinate with local sales team.
• Provide technical support, training and advice to engineers, architects, customers and sales teams on Hilti software, services and products.
• Explain digital resources to architects, engineers, customers and sales staff.
• Support marketing with development, launch and maintenance of software, services and products.

In this role, you’ll provide technical support and drive sales by partnering with designers and specifiers to solve complex challenges using Hilti solutions. You’ll secure commitments for specification or approval of Hilti engineered products, consult on innovative designs, and help customers build smarter, stronger, and more sustainably—while protecting projects with sound engineering judgment. What You'll do

• Visiting assigned engineering and architectural firms, customer offices and construction projects regularly to identify opportunities to specify and use of Hilti software, services and products.
• Conducting seminars for engineers, architects, and contractors to raise awareness and create understanding of all existing and new applications where Hilti products, software, and services are relevant. At the same time, learn about engineers’, architects’, and contractors’ future projects and explore potential business.
• Contributing towards the company’s growth and profitability through technical project management.
• Taking responsibility for focus project specification of Hilti products, supporting the sales team in their efforts to sell a variety of Hilti solutions. This involves uploading and communicating specifications in Salesforce, working with the sales team to convert those specifications into sales and holding project meetings in conjunction with the local sales team.
• Provide technical support, training and advice to engineers, architects, customers and the sales team on all available software, services and products, consistent with the company's objectives and marketing strategy.
• Understanding of the digital technical resources and ability to explain their availability and use to our architects, engineers, customers, and sales team.
• Support marketing team with the development, launch and maintenance of software, services and products.

What You’ll Bring

• 1. Bachelor or Master of Engineering from any discipline
• 2. 4 – 5 years of experience in design of structures/Architecture OR 3 – 4 years of Sales/Business Development experience in engineering sector (preferably civil/construction industry)
• 3. Experience of working with Structural Designers or Architects will be highly preferable
• 4. Very good in communication (English is must)
• 5. Very good in teamwork and commitment
• 6. Persistent and self-motivated to overachieve the business targets
• 7. Experience in handling large and multi department accounts
