Hilti (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Cloud Application Architect to shape the future of its Marketing and Sales integration platform. You will design secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions and guide best practices and cybersecurity standards across channels.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define end-to-end integrations, evaluate technology options, and balance innovation with delivery speed, ensuring governance and security across systems.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end integrations in Marketing and Sales middleware, connecting core systems (SAP, Salesforce, Workday) and exposing cloud services to internal and customer-facing applications.
• Explain risks and trade-offs of possible solutions to stakeholders.
• Evaluate and design scalable cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring security and architecture standards.
• Guard the integrity of the architecture by balancing innovation, feasibility, long-term sustainability, and agile delivery.

Job description

As a Cloud Application Architect, you shape the future of Hilti’s Marketing and Sales integration platform. Your role will be to design secure, scalable and reliable solutions that drive operational excellence and enable seamless customer interaction with Hilti across our physical and digital channels. You provide technical guidance and craft directions for building the future-ready architecture, along with implementing the best practices and latest cyber security standards.

What You'll do

In close collaboration with different cross-functional teams, you define the end-to-end integrations in the Marketing and Sales middleware, connecting core systems (SAP, Salesforce, Workday etc.) and exposing cloud services to internal and customer-facing applications. You understand stakeholders’ needs, as opposed to wants, and clearly explain risks and trade-offs of possible solutions. It is your responsibility to evaluate and design scalable cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring compliance with security and architecture standards. Together with other architects, you guard the integrity of the architecture by finding the right balance between innovation, technical feasibility, long-term sustainability, and agile delivery, without compromising quality, security and reliability. You are encouraged to assess new technologies and techniques for practical application to business problems and strategic initiatives, as well as identify potential improvements of the existing system landscape.

What You’ll Bring

• At least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields with a cumulative grade point average above 3.0.
• At least 7+ years of experience out of which 2 years of experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Lead Developer or in a similar role, with system integration, enterprise architecture, or software development background
• Proven track record in designing and implementing cloud applications on AWS, microservice & serverless architectures, data management patterns, and/or event-driven integration
• Practical experience with agile development methodologies, testing approaches, distributed version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with designing solutions on Azure and leveraging AI technologies (e.g. MCP, A2A) is considered a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, a structured approach to problem-solving, and a continuous learning mindset with an interest in emerging technologies.
• Ability to adaptively communicate with developers, other architects, management as well as business stakeholders
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
