Job summary

Karex Berhad is seeking a proactive Sourcing Associate to assist in supplier identification and quotation gathering, support evaluation and selection, and maintain supplier records. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure sourcing meets operational and project requirements and help manage procurement transactions and compliance.

The role is ideal for fresh graduates with 0–2 years of experience, proficient in MS Office and with a basic understanding of ERP or procurement systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of experience are welcome.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of ERP or procurement systems is a plus.
• Good data entry, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying potential suppliers and gathering quotations.
• Support supplier evaluation and selection processes.
• Maintain and update supplier information and records.
• Help monitor supplier performance and report any issues to the manager.
• Assist in procurement activities, including purchase requests, orders, and approvals.
• Help track procurement budgets and expenditure reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure sourcing meets operational and project requirements.
• Ensure accurate documentation of procurement transactions, contracts, and agreements.
• Support compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
