Job summary

EC Excel Holdings Berhad is seeking a Purchasing Executive / Purchasing Assistant to source reliable suppliers, obtain quotations and manage purchase orders. You will coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and maintain accurate purchasing records.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in all purchasing activities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and source reliable suppliers for materials, products and services.
• Obtain quotations and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare, issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and in accordance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding orders, delivery status and supplier commitments.
• Maintain proper and systematic purchasing records and documentation for easy reference and audit purposes.
• Conduct annual supplier performance evaluations to assess quality, pricing, delivery performance and service standards.
• Handle and resolve purchasing-related issues, including supplier delays, damaged goods, shortages, discrepancies and quality concerns.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.
